چکیده

Abstract The Indonesian government has launched a mangrove rehabilitation program of 600,000 ha in 2021-2024. This needs information about forest damage obtained quickly and accurately. Remote sensing technology is solution to the availability required speed information. Mangrove can be from canopy density derived vegetation index. study aims detect based on level data used are SPOT 6 satellite imagery recorded 2020 with research location Ngurah Rai park. index Normalized Different Vegetation Index (NDVI), Green (GNDVI), Optimized Soil Adjusted (OSAVI). Field for validation were collected by vertical photos that provide percentage density. Furthermore, model was built using linear regression coefficient determination (R 2 ). results show positively correlates NDVI OSAVI have an identical R 0.75, while GNDVI 0.70. Generally, mangroves park dominated good condition only 2.81% some locations damaged condition.

Effects of Forest Growth on Laser Derived Canopy Metrics

In the current research, we present the results from a growth detection study in young forest and mature pine-dominated forest located on poor sites. Canopy height distributions were created from small-footprint airborne laser scanner data collected over 87 georeferenced field sample plots. The size of each plot was 300-400 m. The laser data were acquired in 1999 and 2001, and none of the plots...

Introducing the improved Forest Canopy density (FCD) model for frequent assessment of Hyrcanian forest

Mapping of forest extent is a prerequisite to acquire quantitative and qualitative information about forests and to formulate management and conservation strategies. forest canopy density (FCD) model is one of the useful RS methods for forest mapping using satellite images. One of the most serious challenges in FCD model is the weakness in the calculation of canopy density in low density forest...

Forest Canopy Density Monitoring, Using Satellite Images

The increasing use of satellite Remote Sensing for civilian use has proved to be the most cost effective means of mapping and monitoring environmental changes in terms of vegetation and non-renewable resources, especially in developing countries. Data can be obtained as frequently as required to provide information for determination of quantitative and qualitative changes in terrain. Forests as...

mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model

over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

Airborne Laser Scanning Quantification of Disturbances from Hurricanes and Lightning Strikes to Mangrove Forests in Everglades National Park, USA

Airborne light detection and ranging (LIDAR) measurements derived before and after Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma (2005) were used to quantify the impact of hurricanes and lightning strikes on the mangrove forest at two sites in Everglades National Park (ENP). Analysis of LIDAR measurements covering 61 and 68 ha areas of mangrove forest at the Shark River and Broad River sites showed that the pro...
